The Big Picture: An Overview of EE People Group Services 

CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE TRAINING IN PERSONAL EVANGELISM

Evangelism Explosion People Group Services is an interagency, multinational, multicultural collaborative ministry that facilitates culturally appropriate discipleship among non-western people groups.  The primary focus of this discipleship is on personal evangelism that integrates intentional conversation with life and missional activities.  In the course of the training, many workshop participants have come to understand the meaning and significance of God's grace to them in Christ, and how to share that in ways that make sense to their people, and that communicate friendship and respect.  It is not uncommon for trainees to testify that it was through these workshops they came to saving faith in Jesus Christ alone. 

OUR VISION:  Jesus followers of every nation equipping every people group and every age group to witness to every person.

OUR FOCUS:  Building capacity for indigenously sustainable multiplication through tools, training and support services that enable Jesus followers to be effective witnesses and disciplemakers worldwide.  Prayer, preparation, firsthand experience, and the use of vernacular Scripture are integral to this. 

OUR AUDIENCE:  Non-western people groups.  By utilizing the ways they naturally use conversation, storytelling, relationships, and other features of their cultures to teach, learn and pass on beliefs, Gospel storytelling and discipleship make sense and are indigenously reproducible.

OUR TRAINING:  Highly experiential and interactive training takes believers out of the classroom and into real life situations.  Everything taught is designed to be translated into the local vernacular, and is reproducible by the average believer.  We believe that nothing is learned until it has been demonstrated, practiced and used in real life situations.  Each level of the training is a launch platform for further growth and implementation.  Launch Level 1 provides a solid grounding in Gospel sharing that makes sense to the hearers.  Trainees learn to build genuine friendships with non-believers, explain the difference God has made in their life, and how to share narratives from Scripture.  These narratives recount God’s desire to have a relationship with us, how that relationship was broken, and His way of restoring it.  Launch Level 2 focuses on how to begin discipling others.  Launch Level 3 focuses on responding to difficult questions and situations. 

OUR PARTNERSHIPS:  EE People Group Services partners with others to strategically mesh our collective abilities and resources so that together we can effectively implement training in personal evangelism that multiplies well in non-western cultures.  In partnership with host culture people, we work through a dynamic process of prayer, discovery, development and implementation of the ministry.  Others partner with us to help provide the resources that enable this ministry to serve those who have very limited material resources.  People Group Services does not exist for itself, but rather to help others fulfill God's call on them to be disciplemakers for Jesus.   EE People Group Services desires to help you extend your reach to make the Lord Jesus Christ known to all.  

OUR UNIQUENESS:   Customization and attention to people group factors, a powerful set of guiding principles, our own particular networks of contacts, and the multinational, multicultural, interagency nature of our teams, enables EE People Group Services to bring to the table of world missions a constellation of services, training and tools that are unique and practical for discipleship and personal evangelism that makes sense to the average believer in non-western cultures and is therefore indigenously sustainable.
